Wool rug, Burgundy & Ivory Moroccan Runner Berber
$809.00
This Wool rug is a handwoven Beni Ourain runner in cocoa brown and blush, built the traditional way for the hallways and bedsides of a home. Each piece is made by Berber artisans in the El Abbassi family workshops in Morocco's Rabat-Sale region, worked knot by knot on a wooden loom. Two columns of wavy stripes travel the length of the runner, cocoa fleece rising in a dense hand-knotted pile over a soft blush ground, with hand-braided ivory tassels finishing both ends. The colours come from a natural dye craft practised for generations, so the tones shift gently along the runner rather than repeating mechanically, the mark of a genuine handmade weave. The fibre is 100% natural wool, warm underfoot and naturally resilient. Wool holds its shape, resists everyday soiling thanks to its own lanolin, and actually grows softer with age, which makes this runner a floor piece you keep rather than replace. It settles into many rooms. Run it down a hallway or corridor as a soft floor accent, lay it beside the bed, carry it through a farmhouse kitchen, or place it by the door as an entryway piece. In a child's room the blush tones read as gentle nursery decor, and cut to length the design also works as a stair runner. Because each runner is made to order, you can have it woven to your own length and width, in this pink and brown pairing or a colour combination of your choosing. Send your measurements for a tailored weave. Care is easy: vacuum on a low setting, spot clean with cold water and mild soap, and call in professional cleaning for deep refreshes. Every order ships free and fully tracked, worldwide, with shipping included in the price. Each rug is 100% handmade in Morocco and checked before it ships.
