Woven entirely by hand by Amazigh (Berber) artisans in the El Abbassi family workshops in Salé, part of Morocco's Rabat-Salé region, it carries generations of Berber weaving knowledge in every knot. The design pairs a calm dusty rose field with an ivory border of deep burgundy checker blocks, a minimalist bordered look that settles easily into modern, boho and mid-century rooms. Each runner is hand-knotted on a traditional loom from 100% natural sheep's wool, never machine-tufted. A knot density of roughly 10 to 16 knots per square inch, well above the usual standard, gives this a thick, resilient carpet that holds its shape under daily footfall, while the natural lanolin in the wool keeps it soft, springy and naturally stain-resistant. Rose, burgundy and ivory read as a gentle, grounded palette that flatters wood floors and painted stair treads alike.
