Moroccan Rug Ivory Orange Runner, Handmade Berber Wool

$809.00

This Moroccan rug ivory runner brings burnt orange warmth and a crisp ivory end block to any hallway, kitchen or entryway. Hand-knotted by the El Abbassi family in their Zarabify workshops in Morocco's Rabat-Salé region, it draws on the Beni Ourain weaving tradition, pairing a deep rust field with a hand-drawn black lattice panel and a blue-and-white braided selvedge finished in knotted tassels. The runner is woven from one hundred percent natural sheep wool at a medium, plush pile that stays comfortable underfoot in a busy walkway. The black grid is drawn by hand rather than stamped, so the lattice lines carry the gentle irregularity of true Berber work, and the ivory band at the end gives the eye a clean place to rest. Laid flat in daylight the rust orange glows; under lamplight it reads deeper and browner. A long, narrow rug like this is made for the parts of a home that see the most traffic — galley kitchens, staircases, entry halls and the strip of floor beside a bed. The warm neutral palette settles easily into bohemian, mid-century and warm-minimal rooms, working as a quiet accent that still adds colour. It also makes a housewarming or first-home gift people remember, and since wool is the traditional seventh-anniversary material it doubles as a thoughtful wool anniversary present. Caring for it is simple. Vacuum regularly on a low-suction setting, spot clean with mild soap and cold water, and keep it out of prolonged direct sun so the rust tone stays rich. An annual professional clean keeps the pile fresh for years of daily use. Because every runner is knotted by hand, colours and pattern spacing vary slightly from piece to piece — that is the mark of an authentic handmade rug. Standard worldwide shipping is free on every order, already included in the price with no minimum and no separate shipping charge.
