Moroccan Decor Rug – Black & Gold Beni Ourain Wool

$99.00

Elevate your space with striking Moroccan decor built around this black and gold hand-knotted Beni Ourain wool rug. Charcoal-black fields carry fine camel-gold line work, offset rectangles and a striped gold-and-black end border, giving you a graphic anchor that grounds a room without overwhelming it. Each rug is hand-knotted, one knot at a time, by the El Abbassi family in their own workshops in Morocco's Rabat-Sale region. It draws on the Beni Ourain weaving tradition of the Amazigh (Berber) artisans, a heritage of geometric line work and dense, luxurious pile passed down through generations. The craft is unhurried and entirely by hand. Woven from 100% natural Moroccan wool at a knot density of 10 to 16 knots per square inch, this is a thick wool carpet that holds its shape for decades. The dense shag pile feels soft and plush underfoot, while the ivory tassel fringe is knotted by hand at both ends. Colours run from deep charcoal black to warm camel gold with an ivory finish. For styling, this piece suits minimalist, Scandinavian, boho and mid-century modern interiors. Lay it in a living room beneath a coffee table, at the foot of a bed, or in a den or sunroom where its calm, graphic pattern can lead the eye. It works as easily in a small reading nook as across a large open-plan floor. Every rug is made to order in the size you choose, so it can fit a snug hallway or a generous lounge. Because each piece is knotted by hand, expect charming variations in line placement and colour saturation that mark authentic Berber craftsmanship. Care is simple: vacuum on a gentle setting without a beater bar, spot clean with mild soap and cold water, and arrange annual professional cleaning. Standard worldwide shipping is free on every order and included in the price, with full tracking so your new rug arrives safely.

Every rug is made by hand in the El Abbassi family workshops in Morocco's Rabat-Salé region. See how our rugs are made
