About Zarabify
We believe every handmade rug tells a story, and we share the stories of Moroccan artisans and the traditions they've passed down through generations.
Our Story
The El Abbassi family's mastery of traditional Moroccan carpet making spans over 70 years in and around Salé, the twin city of Morocco's capital, Rabat. Our story began with Abdellah El Abbassi and Mohammed El Abbassi, brothers who carried this ancient craft with deep pride and skill, establishing the family's reputation for excellence.
Their children continued this noble tradition, notably El Baine El Abbassi, who expanded the family workshops in Rabat-Salé and worked closely with local women weavers to strengthen the craft. Through their dedication, they deepened connections with trusted artisans and refined techniques that had been perfected over generations.
Today, Mohamed Oussama El Abbassi and Yassine El Abbassi carry this legacy forward, managing our workshops in Rabat-Salé. Zarabify is their new brand: the family's craft of more than 70 years, now offered directly to customers worldwide.
