What "vintage-style" means here
Every rug in this collection is new. Each one is hand-knotted to order in our family workshops in Morocco's Rabat-Salé region, following the designs and colors that older Moroccan rugs are loved for.
- What you get: the look of an older rug, with new wool, a full pile and the size your room needs.
- What you don't get: years of wear, repairs, or a single fixed size.
- Colors follow the photos as closely as handwork allows. New wool is a little brighter, and its pile fuller, than a rug that has been walked on for years.
What you'll find in this collection
- Boujaad-style rugs: diamonds and lattices on a red, pink or rust ground, in the tradition named after the town of Boujaad.
- Patchwork color: bold diamonds and blocks of pink, blue, black and white across the whole rug.
- Runners: long red runners with a yellow border, for hallways and kitchens.
All are knotted by hand on a loom. Each rug's page gives its pile height.
Choosing the size
- 5x8 ft: under a coffee table, or at the foot of a queen bed.
- 8x10 ft: most living rooms, with the front legs of the sofa and chairs on the rug.
- Runners: about 2.5 to 3 ft wide for a hallway, as long as it needs to be.
Every rug here can be woven to your own width and length: enter them on the rug's page and the price updates as you type.
How we make yours
Your rug is woven in 15–20 days in our family workshops in the Rabat-Salé region, then standard shipping takes 7–14 business days to every destination. Shipping is free on every order and already included in the price.
Because every rug is made by hand, small differences in pattern and color from the photos are the mark of handwork, not a flaw.
Caring for your rug
- Vacuum regularly without a beater bar; a new wool rug sheds a little at first, and that settles.
- Blot spills straight away with cold water and a little mild soap — never rub.
- Turn the rug every few months so it wears and fades evenly.
- Have it professionally cleaned about once a year.
