{"id":1187,"name":"Custom Rug, Handmade Moroccan Runner Beni Ourain Wool","slug":"custom-rug-moroccan-runner","decorStyles":[{"slug":"contemporary","name":"Contemporary"}],"sku":"ARA110260927003","description":"Order a custom rug woven to the exact length of your hallway with this cobalt blue and burgundy Moroccan runner, made in the timeless Beni Ourain tradition. It pairs modern colour with age-old Berber craftsmanship, and every runner is created to your measurements.\n\nEach piece is handmade in Morocco by skilled Amazigh (Berber) artisans in the El Abbassi family workshops of the Rabat-Salé region, using 100% hand-dyed Moroccan wool. The design runs as a column of soft-edged burgundy lozenges flowing across an electric cobalt field, edged with a burgundy selvedge and finished with pale grey knotted tassels. The motifs are drawn freehand in the abstract Beni Ourain style, so no two runners are ever exactly alike — yours will be unique.\n\nBuilt for real life, the rug has a durable medium shag pile that feels plush underfoot yet stands up to steady foot traffic. That makes it ideal for the busiest parts of the home: a hallway, corridor or entryway, a galley kitchen, or a stair landing where you want colour and comfort in equal measure.\n\nBecause it is made to order, you choose the length and width that fit your space, and we weave it just for you. Custom runner sizing means no awkward gaps and no rug that overwhelms a narrow floor — simply the right proportions for your home.\n\nKeeping it beautiful is easy. Vacuum frequently, as runners take heavy traffic, and blot spills immediately to prevent staining. Spot clean with cold water and mild soap, and treat the runner to a professional clean roughly twice a year. A runner pad or double-sided tape keeps it safely in place on smooth floors.\n\nA runner in this cobalt blue is a housewarming present people remember, a generous first-home gift for someone starting out on bare floors, and, since wool is the traditional seventh-anniversary material, a heartfelt wool anniversary gift too. Each rug is rolled, wrapped and shipped worldwide with tracked delivery, and standard shipping is always free and already included in the price, with no minimum order and no separate charge.","material":"Wool","pattern":"Abstract","weaveType":"Hand-Knotted","pileHeight":"Shag / Plush","shape":"runner","shapes":["runner"],"placement":"indoor","features":["handmade","high-low"],"pileThicknessIn":1.25,"fiberContent":"100% Hand-Dyed Moroccan Wool","originRegion":"Beni Ourain","careInstructions":"Vacuum regularly on a low setting without a beater bar to lift dust from the pile. Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth — never rub, which pushes the stain into the wool. Spot clean with cold water and a little mild soap, then blot dry. Have deep stains and full cleans handled professionally; wool responds badly to harsh detergents. Rotate the rug every few months so it wears evenly, and keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the dyes. Shedding is normal for a new handmade wool rug and settles within the first few months.","countryOfOrigin":"Morocco","metaTitle":"Custom Rug: Moroccan Beni Ourain Runner","metaDescription":"Order a custom rug woven to your length: a cobalt and burgundy Moroccan Beni Ourain runner, made to order.
